We created this rain preparedness video for Sunday Afternoons to highlight the launch of their Ultra Adventure Storm waterproof hat.
After scouting a variety of locations with access to water for our rain simulation, we ended up shooting at a great spot about 25 minutes outside Portland on a day when the weather was 100% cooperative (which never happens). We shot sequentially, simulating the first ran sequence, then having the skies open up for us and dumping just when we needed it. Thanks, Oregon!
When we storyboarded the concept we kept the boards minimal, focusing on story flow, knowing we would be doing some improvising on location.
ENELL sports bras have long been a favorite of well-endowed women in the know. They are specially designed for C-cup and above and are renowned for doing the heavy lifting where others fall short. We brought their story to life by celebrating the UNSHAKABLE spirit of the women whose lives they touch every day while giving a cheeky nod to the "no bounce" benefit of the bra.

The first in a series of videos for Sunday Afternoons, this piece was created to highlight the Sunglass Lock feature available on many of their hats. The idea was to show off the functionality in a fun and unexpected way that wasn't the typical technology feature callout approach.
We were lucky to be able to pull off the spring/summer camping feel on a day that was pretty much constant rain. Fortunately we brought a grip truck along for this one, and were able to maintain a dry look.
Projects like this are so fun for nature lovers like us. This one falls especially close to the heart, as the proceeds go back into supporting birds and wildlife habitats in Oregon. This cause also translated easily into a graphic that tells the story of looking after the future of the state's birds.

Recreating your brand can be pretty scary, but not so much as realizing it isn't living up to the potential of your products. That's where Sunday Afternoons was when they put their trust in us to realign the brand to match their intrepid spirit with their decades of expertise and excellent product line.

In fall 2014, Woolrich launched their own line of footwear. To celebrate the heritage of the brand, we dug into the archives for inspiration. The result is what you see here. A mashup of their iconic buffalo check plaid, 1973 sheep logo, raw craft paper, wood, felt, and metal.

Merrell lept into the barefoot running shoe movement with both feet and came to us for something that would stand out in the outdoor market. Our concept was to take the product benefit of being "connected to the ground," and look at the product and activities from the Earth's perspective. The result was this highly successful campaign. Sauvie Island Coffee came to us looking for a way to get noticed in a town known for its coffee roasters and connoisseurs. We thought, what better way to soar above the crowd than to celebrate the island's status as a bird sanctuary.
So with that in mind, we created new bird-friendly branding that features a different Sauvie Island bird for each roast, an eye catching color palette, copy, and imagery that ties it all together.

Twice every year we get the fun job of developing launch materials for Woolrich Footwear's amazing new line of boots and shoes. The shoes feature luxurious leathers and wool from the historic Woolrich Woolen Mill in Pensylvania, and we use these as inspiration in creating wholesale catalogs, look books, product photography, video, and social media content to support both the trade launch and consumer launch of each line.

Legendary tool company Milwaukee Electric Tool came to us for help with a creative concept to help explain the benefits of Heated Gear, their new line of battery-powered apparel. We created a photo treatment and 3D modeled electrical components to bring the technology to life on product packaging and digital communication.

Once upon a time, we shared an office space with the good folks of Trout Mountain Forestry. So we were stoked when they tapped us for help in freshening up their brand and launching a new website. We even got to tag along on several trips to the forests they manage to capture them in action. It's good to know there are people like these guys looking out for the trees.

We worked with the cool people behind MadeHere PDX to create a logo and branding for their new store. Founded by a team of proud Portlanders, the shop is dedicated to showcasing the talents of Portland-based designers, artists, and makers. We created a logo and supporting graphics to support this handmade aesthetic. Be sure to stop by next time you're in Portland!

The gals at Handful can be a rowdy bunch, and we love channeling those feisty and fun-loving personalities in their advertising. A highlight is creating an attention-grabbing ad for the annual trade show where they introduce their new products to prospective retailers. Nothing like making a good first impression.

When Merrell launched their suite of footwear and apparel product technologies, they challenged us to find a way to dramatize the consumer benefits of these technologies. We developed this concept of animated and still illustrations which show what's going on behind the scenes in all of those cool shoes and clothes.

When Legit Organics was launching their brand new line of organic candy bars, they asked us to create a retail display to introduce their brand and put their delicious chocolates within easy reach of natural food store shoppers. We created these displays, designed for easy set-up and maximum branding at the point of sale. Do yourself a favor and try one of their Shotcaller bars. Mmmmm.

A small bra, packed with a lot of features: this calls for a fun little video. Of course the gals of Handful jumped right in as the stars of the show.
